Seminar in Entrepreneurship

Summer Intensive PhD

June 23th - 27nd or
August 4th - 8th

Given the increased demand from students interested in becoming entrepreneurs, business schools around the world are searching for research faculty to teach entrepreneurship courses. However, few universities have the expertise to train PhD students to become entrepreneurship faculty. To overcome this problem, we are offering a summer intensive PhD seminar in entrepreneurship, led by Scott Shane.

The seminar will cover the major theoretical and methodological issues in the field. The seminar, previously offered on four occasions, has attracted participants from a variety of universities, including Columbia, INSEAD, MIT, Northwestern, Stanford and Wharton.

The cost is $1200, exclusive of room and board. However, the Kauffman Foundation has generously agreed to pay the tuition for 25 participants from U.S. universities for each session.

Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, but evaluation will be completed by March 1, 2008 (we will limit the seminar to 30 participants in each session). To apply, please click the Application link and fill in the requested information.
